How To Embrace a Set-back

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Set-backs can be soooo discouraging, says she who's had a few. Whether injury, illness, plateau or any other cause of a set-back, they seem to work against our goals and are often out of our control.

I've also learned the importance of perspective over the years, says she who's cup is always half full.

I'm not much of a video gamer, says she who's had my virtual son dancing on my virtual head, but there's something else that can be learned from video games. Each level prepares you for the next.

So it is with life. Each level prepares you for the next. A set back is a time to regain strength or capture the rest that was required but not acquired.

Let's keep looking for the silver lining, keeping our cups half full, keep on working towards our goals and if we need a set-back, take it as we prepare to "Level Up". :) We can do this!!! :D

After awhile you can see the shadow of a pitfall in advance and prepare.
