Had another decent day of exercise in the below freezing temps yesterday. Told one neighbor it they were calling for snow overnight and he, of course, had to correct me by saying not until friday. Guess who was right as usual!?! Me!! It snowed and is still snowing as I'm writing this blog. That's what happens when someone who hasn't listened to the current weather report tries to correct someone who has listened to the current weather report.

Yesterday's burn below:

45 minutes calisthenics
13.6 miles walked

total burned: 1071

The neighbor who I've been getting her mail to the door for her, called me yesterday wanting me to go to Lowe's for her. I refused, as #1 I don't have money, gas money or willing to put the wear and tear on my old vehicle...#2 I'm not willing to use her credit card or checkbook and put myself at risk criminally for anybody....#3 I may be a servant of God, but that by far does NOT make me this lady's slave. She's been trying (unsuccessfully) to get me to do her dusting and her laundry lately too. She thinks that a place in her heart is payment enough...not quite...my creditors won't accept that. It's beyond time for her to quit feeling sorry for herself for having arthritis and get up and do something for herself, she's only 60 and that doesn't make her old enough to be bed ridden. Sad thing about her is she's trying to play everybody and thinks they're too stupid to know what's going on. She told me a couple of weeks ago she was going to start acupuncture treatments....I found out a week ago from another neighbor she didn't even have an appointment set up for it because she didn't know where to find an acupuncturist and that the neighbor recommended water therapy. The other day she told me that she was going to start water therapy. I seriously doubt she'll do that either. I'm not willing to help someone that's not willing to help themselves first!!

You walked 13.6 miles?? YOU GO GIRL!!!!

Your neighbor: I'm trying to learn how to say "no" (or yes) w/o carrying the excess baggage of trying to decide how honest/deserving they are. We get a gut feeling about how much help we can offer and that is usually the right thing to do. Sounds like you are following that instinct. emoticon

Glad you are paying attention to being asked to do more than you feel is fair!
