need to get back on track

Well, I fell off the wagon the last two days but I'm back on! It has been really hard because we have NOTHING in this house that is remotely good for my blood sugars and my husband doesn't get paid til Friday. Actually, we don't have anything except tortillas, butter and two potatoes in our fridge. emoticon So, I plan on spending tomorrow coming up with some healthy food ideas, look at the store ads, and get my coupons together so I can get some groceries on Friday. emoticon

    It is very difficult to eat healthy on a limited budget but just do what you can.
    It does last longer when you adjust your portion sizes- but the three men I have in my family think I am starving them when I do.

    I buy a lot of frozen veggies and make them the biggest part of my meal and I also like frozen fruit. emoticon

    we have been there done that. just when you have the money to get groceries try to get something healthy. its ok if you have to eat that just limit it. you cant go completly hungry.

    Sometimes that happens, but each day is a new day. Yeah, the shopping can be tough, but as others have pointed out, it's gets easier as you adjust you menu and how you eat. Good luck!

    Eating healthy is so ridiculously expensive! But, once you get yourself adjusted more it becomes something easy to do and awesome. It took me about four months to finally reign myself in and follow serving sizes and now our food goes so much further but, I still find myself buying heavily processed things because they are what is affordable.

    Best of luck on your journey, and great idea with the coupons...they need to make them for fresh fruits and veggies tho!
