Down but kicking back

Thursday, January 24, 2013

Well, I finally got the email from the publisher. Basically, it was a thank you but no thank you. Due to the amount of entries they had, they couldn't send personal feedback as to why they didn't want it.

Ah well...doesn't mean I can't stop trying. Next couple of days, I'm going to look for publishers that will accept manuscripts from those without agents. My ex-husband told me that the "real" agents don't charge to read so I'll look for that too.

I know it's a great story and have been told it's well written..so I'm not giving up. I'm going to make my dream come true!

I wish you all the best of luck!!! But as MGREER84 said, Amazon might be a possibility. A friend of my sister's bf got this book published thru Amazon. It's worth a look into at least, cause it happens. Again, I wish you all the best possible luck, and don't give up, you can do it.

You can also look at self publishing through Amazon. I have a friend who just did that as well.

Hello - you may want to look into getting a review through Reader Views http://www.readerviews.com/ (NOT a publisher). A cousin of mine recently paid for an express review of his manuscript through them. The Reader Views Newsletters have lots of advice for authors & there is no charge to get on the mailing list. Keep on pushing!
