Oh boy! When my Sparkfriend CANES4EVER63 told me about BLC, I thought she was maybe over wnthousiastic about the entire concept. She told me you get to know your teamates on a first name basis, she told me I could get great results, like she did, she told me basically it was the best thing ever.
Well, after just ONE week, I can say that I now agree with her!
As you can maybe tell by the new look of my SparkPage and my profile picture, I'm in the Pink Vikings team. We are 33 rowers (if I'm correct) dedicated to make our ship go fast toward our weight loss goal.
We interact daily and from day One, I felt very welcome like I already said in my previous blog.
That interaction to me is the key and if we keep going like that, I'm pretty convince I will reach my goal of losing 20 pounds in 12 weeks.
In one week, I lost 1.8 pounds, so right on target. It means I now have only 18.2 pounds to lose. It's quite unreal for me to think that by april 10, I might be 173 lb. I don't remember how I look like at 173. That also means I will look hot this summer! But I don't want to repeat the same mistake I did last year and project to far ahead. Now I'm focusing on the challenge.
I did 345 minutes total of fitness! Last fall, I was struggling to get my 250 minutes trophy for the month sometimes! That include a rest day on Sunday, so 345 minutes in 6 days, not bad at all.
I did both TNT, gave my all or almost for the week-end challenge and I'm on schedule for BeFit in 90. I did Day 18 tonight.
Today I went quite over my calorie range but I tracked it (yes I tracked the 8 One-Bite brownies I ate, those are EVIL!). I'll pay close attention to my eating tomorrow, friday and saturday because I'm having fondue with some of my sisters and friends friday night and saturday, it's our 6 years anniversary and we'll go to the restaurant.
I'm sticking to my workout plan which is to do my 5 workout videos of BeFit every week and add to that 3x 30-60 minutes cardio. Tomorrow I'll go swimming with my sister Marjolaine!!! I love it and I miss it. Plus, I'm pretty convinced I'll sign up for the Sprint triathlon in september, so I better practice my swimming!
In fact, my mind is almost set on the competition I will do this year.
In may, my very first and very scary Spartan Race (5k obstacles course)
In early september, the Sprint distance triathlon (half Olympic distances, and I'll do it with 1 or 2 of my sisters) We might try to do an Olympic distance with relay (I'll do the running part)
At the end of september, the Marathon de Montréal 10k (I did the 5k last year :P)
I might add a smaller local race as these are all international huge events (so really costly).
Again, that blog is way longer than I expected.
By the way, my room is still looking good after my major cleanup. We'll have to tackle the kitchen next. I'm thinking of inviting my parents for dinner in 2 weeks, that way, I'll have a deadline to do it.
Bye Bye!
