Week Two

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

Last week was a good start toward reaching my goals for January. I have been loosely following the January jumpstart challenge, although I forgot my mat last week and doing pilates on hard wood floors does not feel great. I did go to the gym three times last week and got in 90 minutes of cardio total. This week I am increasing my workouts to 40 minutes and I completed my first one today.

I have been making coffee in the morning and also packing my breakfast and lunch. I am loving all the money I am saving by not buying lattes and campus food. Plus I don't get the afternoon blahs like I do when I eat grab and go food from the cafeteria. Having longer lunch breaks is definitely nice and allows me to get a little work done and enjoy my lunches.

School is speeding up and I am already super busy. I don't mind it; the week goes by a lot faster when I am busy. I am procrastinating right now because I don't want to do my Environmental Processes homework. That is definitely going to be my least favorite class. The work is alright but the professor moves so slowly that the 85 minute class feels like it is 3 hours long.

I still need to take measurements but I can feel some of the changes in my body already. I have a lot more energy during the day. I sleep like a rock and wake up feeling rested. My appetite is changing - I am not craving junk food and diet soda when I get home from class.

I hope everyone is having a good week and feeling motivated. I am going to quit procrastinating and finish some homework!
