I was talking to a friend of mind the other night. She was telling how she needed to lose weight. She is over 300 pounds on several high blood pressure medications. I explained to her losing weight is not easy. But the journey is in your hands. She asked me about my new lifestyle change . I explained to her about how important it was for me to change. I explain to her how my nutrition values have changed and how I am getting more fruits and veggies and lean protein whole grains walking and exercising. She asked me how long do I have to do that. When can I start eating again ? I knew at the moment my friend did not have a made up mind yet about losing weight. One day she will and I will guide her to SparkPeople for the motivation she will need.

    She may not be in the right frame of mind to start right now, but you can tell her about the spark book and reading it will help her to get started. I started with baby steps and 10 minutes a day of exercise. It may help her to get going. Be blessed and spark on!!!
