You're bopping down the street during lunch, listening to your favorite funk playlist (everyone has one of these, right?) and all of a sudden you can't control do a move:

You realize what you've done as dozens of people pass you by and stare.

...... and you look like this:

Then you's funk! You have to move to funk! How can you not! You can't listen to these.........

Play that funky music by Wild Cherry:

Tell me something good by Rufus and Chaka Khan:

..........and not do a move.

Then you think about it again, and you realize you might have belted out just a little bit of the chorus but didn't realize it because you had your ear buds in, turned up a bit loud.

Then you figure, well at least I didn't do the "Elaine move" from Seinfeld....that would be bad:

(click here for the full dance carnage....

Or "The Carlton Dance":

(You've got to watch this one if you've never seen it before).......http://www.youtu

Then it hits you, I just walked faster because of funk. I'm in a great mood because of funk. "I'M FUNKING OUT IN EVERY WAY" (my favorite line from play that funky music). It doesn't matter what other people think. Just funk out!!

Guess this is a round about way of saying, do what you love and love what you do. Let music inspire you and make your work outs even better. It can pump you up and inspire you to run faster, lift heavier, hike steeper, or funk down the sidewalk with a style all your own!

Try listening to Beyonce's All the Single Ladies without shaking a little something--it's impossible! And I love that Wild Cherry song, hehe.

Sounds like you really know how to put the "fun" in funk. :) I'm not much of a dancer, but I think singing along to your ear buds while walking is acceptable sometimes. Now singing along to your ear buds while in line at Starbucks, that's a different story..

I'm guilty of this with reggaeton. It'll come on in the Mexican grocery I go to, and I have to shake the hips a little in the cereal aisle. I've gotten my fair share of "... the hell is white girl doing?" looks.

Enjoy your funk, baby!

I can relate to this. I was dancing in the car the other day. I used to embarass my daughter by dancing and singing (In my defense, quietlyand subtly) in the supermarket. Guess she thought others would think I was "that crazy lady."

Absolutely love this! The videos and stills are fantastic, and the words are soooo true! Like Lynsey, I'm a "car dancer" so I'll guarantee somebody has gotten a giggle off me just like you gave me a giggle today!

I like when you stop at a red light and you realize that the person next to you is listening to the same station you are (and they're dancing, too).

Love it! I always "funk out" in my car on the way home. I'm sure the people stuck in traffic with me get a giggle!
