I notice that it has been awhile since you added any new partnerships with fitness devices. Can I ask if you have, or plan to, contact Jawbone UP in regards to forming a partnership?

Good to know. Loving my Fitbit One and Aria scale but I'm glad other devices are being added that other people know that there are choices in gadgets to use on Spark.

I just purchased a BodyMedia LINK. Does anyone know if you can sync/transfer the information FROM the nutrition tracker TO the Bodymedia LINK. I've spent the better part of the day searching both websites for some instructions and can't find anything. I've downloaded APPS for both websites and still can't get the information to transfer over. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be forever grateful.

I recently started using Bodymedia Link. A great tool!, but would love to sync the food tracker with Spark also so I do not have to enter the data in 2 places. Any future plans?

I think it is great too and I purchased the BodyMedia but am unable to sync... I am new to Spark and frustrated - more work is trying to set up then follow a diet. Any suggestions. I cannot find a sync command on either site. Body media or Spark

If you have a BodyMedia Armband do you still need to pay the $7 a month to sync it with SparkPeople? I really want to get one, but if I am only going to be using the SparkPeople side of it, I don't really want to get stuck paying an extra $7 a month......

Yay! I've had my Body Media for more than a year now, and I've been a big fan of SparkPeople for....5 years? I didn't really care for the food tracker on Body Media, but you can't beat the calorie burn and sleep data you get from the device. Now I can do all of my tracking in one place! (And it's my favorite!)

Thanks SP for hooking up with Body Media!

Cheers!

Amanda

Thankyou for your Welcoming note of 12-28-12. Just read it today, read all my 15 messages since I JUST figured out how to open them up today.
Didn't mean to ignore them.....just didn't know how to read them. I'm new @ this computer business too....Just had it installed 12-19-12. Most
of my 15 messages were from BIGPAWSUP--- who didn't give up on me.
Thankyou for your wonderful site emoticon My dietitian/nutritionist from Henry Ford Hospital/Detroit is the one who gave me your site name and I got on asap. Thanx for all your great ideas, videos, receipes, information, reinforcement, etc. etc. I need it all.

Do I need a special 'mobile' unit/ cell phone to use this device? I just a simple cell phone that does only
telephone calls.

This is wonderful. I have used Spark for years and have only had my band for 2 months. I am excited.

I do have one question. I was able to get the band synced with my spark page but noticed that I have to click the sync button on the specific day, it is not automatic. Is there a way for the system to either automatically sync nightly or if I click the sync button, it does it for the whole week.

Thanks,
Charlotte

This totally made my day. Like the other posts, I love seeing the more accurate calorie count to see how my active job impacts my exercise, but never was able to get it right. Now, it's sync'd for me. LOVE IT!!! Thank you SparkPeople & BodyMedia! emoticon

update: After 2 weeks of trying to get bodymedia customer service to help me when I was home from work on my computer I gave up and returned the device to HSN. It was completely frustraging and I do NOT recommend it to anyone. IF they are so big on advertising on sparkpeople and biggest loser on tv and the web, they should expand their customer service hours to accommodate people who have to work. It was ridiculous. I will never buy one again.

Hurray! I found the best place for me to get the bodymedia device was hsn because they allow 3 payments instead of having to pay it all at once. Mine is charging now. I am a bit unclear on using it. I hope I can use the SP site for food log, it is so bright and colorful, making it fun. I certainly don't have time to enter twice, barely have time to enter once. I can't wait to use it!

I am thrilled about this! It totally made my day! I love my Body Media armband and have been manually entering in my daily total after using the awesome Spark people Nutritional tracker, but this will be so much easier! Thank you so much! Yeah!

I actually did a Happy Dance when I learned of this! I've been trying to manually sync them because I love the calorie counter on SP, but I figured the exercise counter on Body Media was probably more accurate, but I found it darn near impossible to get them to come out "even". This is the coolest thing ever!

This is great! Because I've been trying to sync them manually because I love the calorie counter on SparkPeople (all my data is on it) but I couldn't get the calories in/out synced correctly between the two. I burn 1845 calories a day and tried to input info into SparkPeople. But Sparkpeople asks for how much you burn a week ... lol. Well 12,915 a week, gave me a crazy calorie in total. Cant wait to sync the right way!

I have to admit that I have never heard of "Body Media" until now. I'll have do a bit of research & find out what it is exactly. However, as much as I'd like to, exercising isn't a real feasible option for me due to the severe OA in both knees. But I do like that it also tracks one's sleep & that would be a tremendous help for me. Thank-you for the information.

    Fancy!

I gotta say, I don't use any of these high-tech devices that can be connected to SP or anything...but I think it's really cool that you are always reaching out and partnering with fitness organizations and finding deals and creating apps and whatnot. SP is the best! :)
