Today started out great, but it's been getting worse the past few hours. Food-wise I'm doing great, but I miss my boyfriend and was hoping he'd get to come home today. As the day drags on, I realize the likelihood of that not happening. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't his birthday. I'm lying--I'd want him home in any case. I just hope my BPD doesn't hit me like a brick wall and ruin my day.

    Plan on doing something special for and with your boyfriend when he does come home for his birthday, that will help to turn your mood into a more positive outlook.
Give your house or apartment a good cleaning to keep yourself busy and make the time go by faster until he does come home; that will also make you feel good. Just try to do positive things and think positive thoughts, Teresa. You can do this, you really can!!

    Call three people and give them a compliment, a genuine one. Did you have a good meal at a restaurant recently? If yes, then call the restaurant and ask for the manager and tell him/her about your positive experience. Was a bank teller doing their job in an efficient manner? Tell their manager

When you focus outward instead of inward your brain releases dopamine which is a feel-good substance and it will change your whole day.

OK, I can hear what you are thinking........LOL

just DO IT!!!
