Back at work today after 4 days of being in bed with the stomach flu. Still feeling pretty bad, but the show must go on right? Speaking of shows, the show Iím currently in is going very well and I look forward to singing my little heart out (sick or not). Last night was my first rehearsal since Saturday and despite the occasional snafus, I did very well. I wasnít feeling well the entire time, but I made through it and was even glad to hear that my director/musical director/choreographer were VERY happy with my work. After not booking the last two gigs I went out for, it feels good to be recognized.

Iím back on solids after eating nothing but soup off and on, as my stomach canít take much more than that. I remain hopeful though and am getting back to my old self slowly but surely. Iíve been wanting to do some sort of cardio, but I am so exhausted by the simplest tasks that Iíd probably pass out if I tried anything. As much as I like being wonder woman, itís nice to have a reprieve from it. I have so much on my plate that sometimes its extremely overwhelming. I must say the break has been a God send and I'm trying to focus on one thing at a time rather than everything at once.

    It's nice to work with people who appreciate you! And ofc you totally deserve it!
Take it easy with exercise and give your body some time to recover from the flu. You will know when you'll be ready; your body is gonna ask for it!

I hope you are feeling even better!

    Take the rest! If you don't it will take you longer to get over the illness. I sure wish I could hear you sing, girl!

    Glad to hear you are on the mend.
You can try sneaking in bits of easy strength training, like the wall push-ups, and calf raises or calf rocking. Those do your body good, without wearing you out.

  If you blew him away by still being under the weather, you would have been great if you were at 100%! You are awesome! sometimes, events and things such as this keep our minds off of things that ail us. Sometimes, our bodies have to slow us down so enjoy the time you have and take good care of yourself and that voice! "Just five minutes at at time"...thats what I tell myself when I am down and out..

Even "just 3.5" minutes at time some days too!
