So I’m getting a little discouraged and even wondering if there’s something physically wrong with me. I started riding my bike in 2008. Since then I have biked everywhere. I even bike just for the fun of it. Through, rain, heat, freezing wind I bike at least 6 days a week. I’m also trying my “hand” at running, I go to the gym; I’ve been cutting out junk food and filling my diet with veggies. Yet, I’m still over 50lbs over-weight. I’ve been bike-commuting the same road five days a week, for over six months and yet, I’m still wheezing after the first half mile. Shouldn’t I be getting stronger, faster, and building up endurance by now? It’s been five years, when is this hard work going to start paying off?
