Day 5...I gained weight..after really trying!

SO I am bummed, I am not even going to lie.

I worked out. I ate right, I drank my water, and I gained .6 lbs! Thank you very much.

So I could go two ways.... I could get discouraged and say this is never ever going to work.

OR I could get tougher. It ain't going to go anywhere...if I don't KEEP GOING forward.

I am sick, that could affect my weight. I am doing the best I can. SO...I am not going backwards.

I am NOT going backwards. I may be crawling along, with my hazard lights on, but I am NOT going backwards.

I will re-examine; Everything. I will do my best.

I will keep going.. but I am not going to lie I am feeling down. DOWN. sigh..keep going.

    that's main reason I am going to WWs- I get weighed once a week and don't look at my scale in between- Before I was always hopping on and off it, one day it would say a good number then the next bad. as everyone says if you keep moving forward the weight sorts itself out overtime, emoticon

    Jane, weight loss is not linear! Keep make healthy choices, and the scale will get it.

    Don't overlook the likelihood the scale has variations depending on many factors: room temperature, battery strength, air pressure; and keep in mind there are fluctuations in a person's weight over the course of a day, and over the course of several days. It's really nice to hit a magic number on the scale, but it's only a number for that moment in time. Your weight range over several days gives a better indication of your success. And don't ignore non-scale success indicators like the fit of your clothes, your feeling of increased well-being, your lowering satiety point, your increased self-discipline . . . .

    Stop weighing yourself every day. Just concentrate on following what Spark tells you and relax. Daily weigh-ins are a sure way to drive yourself insane because you see every fluctuation and not the trend over time.

    Keep at it, don't let that .6 increase get to you. It happens. I went down 2.8 lbs the first week, then 3 days later I was up 1.3 lbs only for it to drop down and end up with another loss of 1.2 lbs at my next weigh in. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster.

    well I just got back on trying to get healthy after gaining 70 lbs last year.. and from experience, dont get discouraged we are women and the scale always plays tricks on us. I see it this way, the scale is just trying to see if we got what it takes to keep going!! hang in their.. and remember it takes 12 weeks to really see and feel a difference..

    I am sure that is very disappointing. Try not to get discouraged as weight can fluctuate for many reasons. Make sure you are not weighing yourself too often. Your good choices will catch up with you.

    HONEY CHEER UP THIS CAN HAPPEN AND HAS HAPPENED TO ME, YOUR BODY IS CHANGING AND GETTING USED TO DIFFERENT THINGS YOU DOIN NOW. MAYBE ITS TIME TO CHANGE UP YOUR ROUTINES. EITHER WAY, JUST KEEP ON DOIN WHAT YOU DOIN AND BEING CONSISTANT GIRL, AS MY WEIGHTLOSS COACH ALWAYS TOLD ME, THE FAT WILL EVENTUALLY BURN ITSELF OFF HONEY.
