Day #38—Sorry it’s been so long!

Hey everyone! As many of you all know, I had a goal for the month of January to blog every day. Well obviously that didn’t happen. However, I do have a legitimate “excuse”. The internet in my dorm room hasn’t worked since I got here! However, as of now it does work, and I am so excited to get back on track and on my way to a healthy me! Since I fell so off track on this month’s goals, I decided that I’d get a head start on next month’s goals. They are definitely going to be looser because of my demanding schedule, but they are still going to be there to guide me on.

1. Blog at least 1x per week!
Honestly, now that I have this RA job I am just not going to have the time to blog every single day (more than likely). So my goal will be 1x per week, but of course I will aim for more.

2. Exercise 3x per week!
I have found, like many people, that when I set really strict exercise goals on myself it lasts for like a week and then I stop working out altogether. I think that 3x per week is a very good starting point. It will keep me moving, but it won’t be too overwhelming I don’t think.

3. Keep a food journal!
Ultimately I would like to do this every day, but sometimes I know that life gets in the way. I have been doing this for 2 days now and hopefully by just looking at it I will realize where I am going wrong and try to correct it.

Those are my goals for now through the end of February. I know that I can stick to them with the help of all of my spark friends! Since I came back to school I have lost 2 pounds! Hopefully I’ll be able to keep it up, and keep losing weight! If I actually meet my new year’s resolution of losing 30 pounds this year I would be completely ecstatic!

Being an RA is an extremely exhausting job, but I love it! Plus it helps me to pay for school which is amazing! I am required to do 2 hours of study hall a week, and work the front desk in my hall from 8-12 every Tuesday night, plus about one weekend a month. Then of course there is other paperwork, and programs, but that is the gist of it. I am just lucky that I don’t live in a hall that is too rowdy! So far I love my new job!

    I think you're starting to figure out what will work for you. I think your revised goals are definitely more manageable. I think you can make February a great month for you!
