dessert needed

The new year has been going great. I have been eating healthy and working out routinely and already lost 7pounds. Although I no longer crave most of the bad foods that I use to eat regularly, I feel like i'm still missing something. After healthy dinners, i feel slighted that I cannot end the night with something to satisfy my sweet tooth. I dont want to bring cookies, cakes and pies in the house because i dont feel like i have the will power to resist. I dont want the high fat and calories but i do need that sweet snack to satisfy my sweet tooth

    All of those are great suggestions! I would also add that you can "fake" ice cream by using frozen bananas in the blender. (Peel your bananas, pop into freezer bags, freeze at least overnight, take out as needed.) You can experiment by adding strawberries, cocoa, peanut butter, go crazy experimenting! I have been keeping my bananas from going mushy just knowing I can put them in the freezer and use them later.

    I think someone already mentioned this but Fiber 1 has some awesome brownies at 90 cals. I like the chocolate chip ones...yummy. Also, I sometimes eat a piece of wheat toast with a tablespoon of grape jelly (at a little peanut butter and it will keep you full longer). Crush has a really good drink mix in packet (I just discovered this), the strawberry flavor is really good and although they say it is sugar free it is very sweet and doesn't leave a aftertaste. Fruit is also a good way to go, I have fallen for Barlett Pears, they are really sweet and juicy. From time to time I will cut up an apple and sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on top and but it in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes (this is really good, kinda like apple pie without all the fat and calories).

Oh yeah I almost forgot, Skinny Cow has these little individual serving cups of ice cream (chocolate brownie is the best). They are about 150 cal each and like 2 g of fat. I also make a peanut butter banana smoothie sometimes (I am hooked on peanut butter, peanuts and nuts in general now). I cut up a banana in about 4 or 5 pieces and freeze it. I put 1 cup of 1% milk, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and the frozen bananas in the blend and blend it up. Afterwards I stick the cup of smoothie in the freezer for about 5 or 6 minutes and it is like a milk shake. You can add to it as you like.

    Here's a great, healthy drink that tastes like box chocolates. Play around with the amounts.

8 oz milk, any kind, hot or cold
1 TBSP Hershey's Cocoa (dark brown box in baking aisle)
1 TBSP sugar or sweetener equal to 1 TBSP sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract, not imitation
1 tsp pure extract, not imitation of your choice, like peppermint, orange, banana, raspberry

If heating the milk, do it before adding other ingredients.
Put all ingredients in a blender or use a hand blender. Cocoa won't mix with a spoon. If you blend on high the milk increases in volume--more to drink! Mix and drink. It tastes very much like box chocolates.

    I have a few things for that:

Sugar free popsicles
Jello Sugar free pudding

100 calorie snack packs of:Lorna Doone Cookies or Fudge stripe cookies or Oreo Cookies

Sometimes I eat a Fiber one 90 calorie Brownie or chocolate chip bar... all good things for my sweet tooth.

also eating some fresh fruit or light yogurt,
I like Green grapes, apple slices, strawberries or Yoplait Light yogurt (90 calories)

    I used to have some of the same issues. I cured my sweet tooth with yogurt. Have you looked at some of the dessert recipes on the Sparkrecipe sight? They are low fat, low calorie and they taste good.
