Science Experiment Continues

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

It's time to get serious and lose 9 pounds to get me to my 140's. I haven't been there in, oh, almost 20 years. Where I HAVE been is bouncing around from 155-158 for a long time. My body seems to rest here, return here, and I don't feel horrible at this point. But am I at a healthy BMI? No, no, no. So the Science Experiment continues.

Here's my control.....

I walk a LOT. I enjoy it and have a personal trainer (Wonder Dog, Jersey) who encourages me to go out at least twice daily. As I work from home this is easier to do now than ever before so I walk about 5 miles a day. That's normal for me. So if I walk 5 miles a day and eat kind of healthily I hang at 158. emoticon

So I need to BOOST things to make a change. I'm in a warmer climate for the next 7 weeks so I'm going to ride my bike & do more yoga - 5 extra hours of exercise a week. That's the plan. And tighten up my food plan. I still snack a little and, of course, the occasional glass of wine but I can adapt this a bit more to take off those 9 pounds. I will be vigilant emoticon

Caloric deficit report ....

Ugh. I am right there with you. I can't break this 157-159 range at all. I keep following your lead though!

You and me both! I've been trying to break into the elusive 140s for nearly a month now... I was briefly at 149 lbs for one day but now hovering in the low 150s. I know I'm doing everything right -- calories in normal range, whole foods, exercising daily... so for now I'm trying to focus on my nonscale goals because my body is taking its sweet time dropping into a lower weight.

Good luck with your upcoming workouts! :D

It's amazing how much harder it is to lose that last few pounds than it was the first 50 (at least in my case and the last 25).

Keep at it and you'll get to the goal you want!
