So, I had great plans to wake up bright and early and walk on over to the gym again. The plan included a 60 minute Zumba class and and then the walk back. Well, that was before I woke up an hour after my alarm had gone off and my head felt like someone was kicking me all night. *I* am *officially* sick. I think it has gone beyond allergies or a cold. Green thick stuff is coming out of my nose and when I cough. Boo. I don't think I have a fever. At least there is that. I have no voice. So, I am thinking it is sinusitis and laryngitis. When I get home looks like I might have to take a visit to Dr. A and see if I can get an antibiotic. I was going to just take the day off, but because of this weekend, I just couldn't do it. I started getting curious about the Couch to 5 K program. I was pretty sure the first week is pretty mellow, so I thought that would be a good way to get a little exercise in, but wouldn't bee to intense since I am sick. I forgot one thing. I don't run. Well, key word, I didn't run. I completed week 1 day 1 of the program. So I walked/ran 1.3 miles in 18 minutes. That did not include warm up and cool down. I burnt 254 calories. Pretty good for being sick right? I actually walked a little longer than that, but that was the actual program. :) I guess to look on the bright side of being sick, I think I have found something I really like. I am going to continue with the program and see if I can work up to running a 5K. Dolphin RUNNING A 5K?!?!? I have walked one, but, never would have considered ever running one. I might have to make a goal that I run one where I can get a medal. ;)
Wish me luck. I hope I feel better tomorrow, because I would really like to go to Zumba tomorrow.
