Today I came across a post on Deadspin called "The Public Humiliation Diet" deadspin.com/5545674/the
While it lacks much of the positivity SparkPeople seems to be about, it is more my speed. I am just saying that I am an optimist. But I am also sarcastic, rough around the edges and have always liked it that way. So seeing his view of his weight loss journey (one that worked, by the way) was awesome.
One thing he mentioned is that he has a big old mug of green tea, unsweetened, at the end of every meal. Simply to signify the meal has ended, otherwise he will keep eating and "all my meals blended together. Breakfunchinner is a better meal than most people realize." LOL
Anyway, I don't have a whole lot of the issues he does with food, but I do have my own, as well as a couple that are unique to (not-so) little old me. That is one tip that I really like, because while I am usually pretty good during the day about keeping within calorie range, when a binge does come on it is always at night.
I think I am going to try that, having a cup or two of green tea at the end of every meal. It will be a good way to get more water in, as well. Just one after each meal is three cups, four if I have a snack mid-day. Add that to the three to six I drink plain, and I am golden.
In other life news, I have set out to once more conquer life and make it my bizitch (God, the SP ban of swearing is annoying as 'shark'). I am getting back into a full day routine, which I had before but fell apart during the holidays, and then a few weeks after. :P
Morning Internet stuff, like emails and SparkCoach
Setting daily tasks
Cleaning up wherever might be needed
Any other work undone
This is in addition to being with my kids, homework help, ect. It is nice being back into things like I was, my life feels so much more manageable when I am doing things on schedule. So I have a clean apartment, I am doing great with my article orders, and my kids are behaving. Plus, I am losing weight again. Life is sweet.
