Cold, snowy and blowy

I woke up to a little snow, again. Now last Friday we had "SNOW" the roads were rough, people stayed home, or most did. School was cancelled for the public school system. We had college still. We braved the snow and roads and got to school fine. Home again also. Mind you many people did not get in. So today, I hear on the radio at 0630, no school today, snow day. I look out and see a few flurries falling. I check our website..still school. The roads were not bad at all and coming home they were even better and the sun was out a little. I am so confused as to why the school board cancelled school today. I am really wondering why they jumped, the weather report was not even that daunting!!
Anyway, I went and it was OK. Much better day today than yesterday. I was to go into Halifax to see the MD about my foot, no luck. The transmission in our car went. UGH!! So friends offered us their other vehicle. Great friends, Anjays-Journey and her family!! Well, we were on our way to the mechanic with our car and I was following in theirs. Oh no.. I heard a bang and the tire had blown. I cruised into the church parking lot. Then texted them. I felt so bad.
Thankfully we were on a secondary road and not the HWY. So along they came and picked us up. WE delivered our car to the mechanic and sorted things out. No vehicle.
This morning I was picked up and dropped off at school. We get our car back on Thursday. Meanwhile we get to borrow their car again today. With 4 new snow tires. Oh my what a to do.
I am so thankful for good friends. I am not sure what we would have done. We are blessed.
Good news our mechanic found a used transmission or out Toyota from a junk yard. Only 300$ and only has 130,00km on it. He knows who he is getting it from and it is good. So it will not bite as much as it could have.
Well our loaner car from our friend has come back for a couple of days. Off to do a few things.
