Feel like junk

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

The new year started off with all of us having the flu. 60 cases in MN of people dying already. Yeah, it was fun. Needless to say, we all survived. Before the flu though I had not been feeling great. Anyone who knows me knows I've been struggling so much with fatigue, brain fog, and other random issues that are not explained by medical tests. My tests all come back normal. My thyroid was borderline but not considered dysfunctional. So I was taking synthyroid for awhile. It didn't help.

I've been researching yeast overgrowth. I'm not convinced yet I have this, but I did start taking a concoction of vitamins to try to combat it. According to everyone on the internet (ha ha), the fact that I ended up feeling like crap yesterday is because I do in fact have a yeast overgrowth. I also gave up bread, sugar, and dairy. I think maybe that's why too.

Anyway, I'm all for eating healthier and I need to. Just not sure about the yeast free pills stuff. If I don't feel better by the end of the week, I'm ditching them. I do feel like not eating sugar is helping me though. I do have terrible brain fog today, but there are moments of clarity too where I feel really energized. It's weird. Maybe its in my head.

I have a Vit D deficiency too but I take vitamins. They rechecked me and I'm normal, but my levels could be raised. Thanks for the comments ladies :). I hope I figure it out too.

I had the same thing. I was tired all the time and just felt out of it. My brain was just not acting the way it should have been. I went to the doctor and it turned out that I was vitamin D deficient. All the symptoms I was having pointed right to it. I started taking 2000 iu of vitamin D and 1200 of calcium and within a couple of weeks I was feeling so much better (then tired again but that's because I was pregnant lol). I hope you feel better and everything works out. Good Luck!!!
