The Beat Goes On...

Wow... I can't believe it has been more than a year since I posted a blog. Life has certainly gone on and things are good. I continue to keep in pretty good physical shape, although I am planning on increasing the intensity this year. And I continually am learning and working on cooking and eating healthy... but I still can't stop that middle-aged weight gain! I am back to my heaviest weight once again. If I just look away for a minute... yikes! So back to the drawing board. How can I be more successful? It seems the only way to lose weight and then keep it off is to drastically limit my non-fruit and vegetable carbs. Breads, pastas, chips... but also wine and chocolate! Time to track it and reduce it! Here we go... hunger pangs will be my friend!

    Thanks for taking the time to comment, Alicia214... I did an experiment with the wine, and went without for 40 days and no weight loss... I think I compensated with other foods. But I definitely am planning on cutting back. You gave me more to think about and research, though. I appreciate it.

You don't have to starve...in fact that is not good strategy... portion control is the big one
and the big one there is alcohol since the body metabolizes it differently and while it is
doing that your food intake does not get processed.that is the simplified explanation I
think you can get a lot more info on line.
