Lost 1/2 the water weight I gained, and feeling a lot better. I did my 90 minute walk and lifted weights for 30 minutes yesterday. Ate on plan, and got to bed early after watching Biggest Loser.

Today I am going to have to walk to the gym, and then do my 90 minute walk there. The gym is about 1/2 a mile from my house, so an extra mile, but I could use more exercise. The problem is, it's 1 degree outside ( -17 C ). I have a hoodie, and gloves, so I may have to jog a bit to stay warm...lol. Last winter, we never got below 20, but we are supposed to have cold, and snowy the next 5 days. I have to walk because my brother is doing a 2 hour tutoring session, as well as 1-5 in class. Then he has some extra credit assignment that lasts till 6:30, and I don't want to be walking till 9 p.m. I should have had him drop me off, and just walked home, but in the time he warmed up his car, I can make it to the gym. Plus if I go this afternoon, it may get up to 10 degrees. I will have to wait to dry off after my shower, so my hair doesn't freeze on the way home, but luckily I keep my hair short, so it will dry quickly. emoticon

The maid took the day off, and no laundry was done yesterday. Unfortunately, I am the maid..lol. So I have to do 2 loads today. I had eggs for breakfast with mushrooms, and lunch and dinner will be 12 ozs of b/s chicken thighs, 1 can NS diced tomatoes, and 1/2 cup diced white onion with a Tbsp of olive oil to cook it in.

I found some curry and cumin on the top shelf of my cupboard. I was cooking meals with my brother, and he hated both, so I stopped using as many spices. Now though, he is doing well on his own, and I can cook while he is at school, and eat what I want. Next week, I am buying a new spice to use.

Other than that I will be reading. I finished book 4 by Alex Berenson, The Midnight House, and just started book 5, The Secret Soldier. Book 6 is The Shadow Patrol, which I also have. All 6 are CIA/ spy stuff, but newer Afghan/ Taliban bad guys etc. My brother read them in 2 days, which left me 19 days to finish them..lol. Tonight I have 2 sitcoms to watch.. Go On, and The New Normal, and the Pistons play the Orlando Magic.

That is all I have to do today, maybe clean my kitchen, but I will probably put that off till tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

  If you are looking for something to season with, I love the Trader Joe's 12 spice salute. It is delicious (no salt!) and works on everything, beef, chicken, fish, I put it in my soups and broths that I make. Hopefully you have Trader Joe's near by to get it!

Also, its cold here in Boston too! I miss the warm weather

    I'm pleased you are going to try something new to jazz foods up... keeping interested will help you I'm sure, looking forward to trying something new.

It's really cold here too, the snow has melted a bit and frozen into scary crusts of ice, which is so slippery.

I'm watching BL right now.

    Cumin with tomatoes and chicken and onion sounds wonderful. Maybe a little chili powder would be good too. Yum.
