So since saturday my heart rate monitor hasn't been reading the strap. I've been wetting it and all and it still does not work. According to the manual, it shouldn't be running out of battery by a long shot. There is a year warranty so if its not working by the end of the week I'm going to turn it in. The heart rate monitor is just a really good motivator for me and I hate not having it.
In any case, I did a 45 min Nike Training Club app workout called Hurricane. I felt really good today. I even used weights this time (didn't have any before, but found a pair lying around).
I should also mention that I haven't missed a single day yet in my plank a day challenge:
15 sec low plank, 15 sec high plank, 15 sec low side plank, 15 sec high side plank, 15 sec low plank, 15 sec high plank, 15 sec side low plank, 15 sec side high plank, 15 sec low plank, 15 sec high plank. It comes out to 2.5 min and I feel like my body gets a good workout shifting to the different positions too!
I've also decided to start (since yesterday) a 100 squat challenge that loos like the following:
-25 regular squats, 25 regular squat pulses, 25 sumo squats, 25 sumo squat pulses
I also pledge to do 10 min of jump roping a day.
I want to do these challenges because they don't take a lot of time and on days where I can't fit a heavy workout in, at least I'm doing something. All of these challenges will be really good for a little extra toning as well!
I got a 2 hour skate practice tonight, but I'm hoping to spend some time with the puppies too! I just can't get enough of them! Not to mention they signify me and my boyfriend getting closer to starting our lives together. We are getting so close to a place of our own!
