15: 1 with a -18 wind chill

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Today I love love love treadmills. I was able to still get a run on and it is nasty cold outside!

Oh yeah and the phone call o'dark 30 from the kids school made me get out of bed - so umm thanks school for calling SO EARLY.

Just a small rant, what school for crying out loud this day sends a recorded voice message to EVERYONE on the school list, and considers themselves high-tech. Really? I prefer a text message!!! That stupid recording drives me nuts.

Okay off the rant.

60 minutes treadmill:
5 minute warm-up
10 minute 5.0 run
5 minute walk
10 minute 5.0 run
5 minute walk
5 minute 5.0 run
20 minute walk

Darn cold is still slowing me down. It's hard to run an cough at the same time, I couldn't get any air - and I forgot to grab my phone from the car to stream music- so I was stuck with the umm crappy radio stations to run to. Seriously it's hard to get a run on while listening to lists of school closings and people who think they are funny (but not so much).

Food should be okay. I do need to hit the grocery store on the way home to supply up on a couple of things.

breakfast: egg whites + 1 gf
snack: greek yogurt
lunch: chic, rice, broccoli
snack: protein bar
dinner: ?

It might be a rotisserie chicken kind of night.
Happy to be back at the exercising.

The cold here takes my breath away, literally! No way I can run in this either! And I like running in the cold! I am thankful for the indoor track at the Y!
