Little motivators

That little fitbit has been keeping me super motivated. Even on days when I am not going to the gym, I work my buns off to get 10,000 steps and 25 flights of stairs. It's not that easy either, it's more work than I thought it would be. On fitbit you make friends with ppl who have them and see their weekly average rating and your supposed to compete. I am friends with two fitness teachers who have them, compete HA! One averages 240,000 steps and a week and the other 180,000 steps. So ya my 70,000 steps is pretty sad by comparison. I thought I was a lot more active than I was. Usually gotta get get something else in to make my steps. 3 mile run or walk the dogs for 30 minutes. Too bad you can't take it in the pool, I would love to know how many steps I am getting in water aerobics. Then there is gympact, the app where u log in to the gym and make money. I am doing 4 days a week 10 dollars a day. This app will be so much easier in the summer. Since I can track walks with the dogs and log them if I don't wanna hit the gym. I really wanted to run outside today but the high is 12. My immune system seems really weak right now. I was so cold yesterday and couldn't warm up. I thought I was getting sick but I am fine today. Maybe I just took it a little hard over the weekend painting. Painting is so fun in theory. But after a few hrs of it, it feels like someone tried beating the crap out of u.

    I am thinking I might like a Fitbit too. They sound really neat and I could use something to get me motivated.

    We are expecting more snow and/or ice soon and I dread it. I'm tired of winter.

    70k steps is really awesome! Not really fair to compete with people whose job is fitness, but it's really awesome to see what someone who works in the fitness world does in comparison to an everyday person who likes fitness.

    FYI, 70k is freakin' awesome. You should be super proud!

    I am so glad your fitbit is motivating you to move it move it more! Love that!

    I feel the same with my WW gadget- it has me choosing the bathroom downstairs, doing squats every time I pee, etc.! Yay!

    I find it hard to get in just 5000 a day. I made that my first goal. I hit 10,000 once a week so far. It is hard.
    You're doing great in my opinion. I love how ya'll are competing. It's a good motivator for sure. I'm glad we have it.

    i do fitbit also! i live in upstate NY and i find it VERY hard during this time of year to get in all my steps. on nights that i work (im a nurse and always on my feet) it is no problem reaching my goal; but on my days off i will literally just walk around the house and up adn down the stairs so i can meet my goal!
