I work six days a week two days off in between. Life with a toddler is a little easier than with a newborn. I find myself thinking isn't there an easier way to get everything done in the day? I had to laugh my husband came home today and asked me what happened to the house. I simply told him I was having fun playing with the baby and I to played with all the toys as well as she did . He looked at me and shook his head and I walked into the kitchen. Someday I'll have a plan for today. Today I really enjoyed playing with my baby. I wouldn't pass up playing with her for anything she is the joy of my life. This brings me to the subject how do I balance exercise with family. I am constantly pulled in many directions I work and come home I want to lay down and go to sleep I have to look at the clock and think what we need to accomplish today? exercise is on my calendar But I have so little time to fit in 15 minutes of exercise. My Question is all you moms out there when and how do you fit in your exercise.

I have to work out first thing in the morning before work well baby is still sleeping. I tried before to exercise well she is playing but she just isn't having it. she wants me to hold her or she's trying to get me to play with her.
I wake up 45 minutes early. I get up and get myself together then do a 30 minute work out. I know some people can't do morning work outs but its what works best for me. Have a family and working full time can be a lot of work. I hope your able to find time to exercise :)

My kiddo is a bit older now, so finding 15 min is easier (not much). I am starting to do my 15 during his required reading time.
Here is an idea for you. Take a deck of cards, assign an exercise to each suit. Each suit can represent a body part (i.e., hearts=cardio, diamonds=abs, spades=upper body and clubs=lower body).
So for example:
Hearts = high knees
You will rotate exercises each day.
Through out the day or evening, pick a card off the top and whatever number is shown on the card, you will do that number of reps for that exercised assigned to the suit on the card.
You can select select the number of cards based upon how long you want to work out for. i.e., 1/2 deck, 1/3, deck etc.
This will allow you to get your exercise without devoting a large chunk of time.

I work out on my lunch break at work. That way when I get home, it can be all about my little guy! Do you have a little bit of spare time in your break? All I do is speed-walk around the parking lot... at least it's something!

I bought cardio equipment and I break mine down into manageable chunks. I try to get 10 minutes minimum at a time, but in your case, what about doing 5 minutes in the morning, 5 minutes when you first get home, and 5 minutes after bedtime?
