Today I learned that a very dear Spark friend has been in a nursing home for a few months. I don't know what happened to her but I suspect it could be heart or stroke related. When I last heard from her, her internet was down and the library blocked Spark, so I thought that was why I didn’t hear from her.
I am so saddened by this news. Also it scares me because we have many commonalities. This could be me! I pray for her recovery and return to good health. I will make her proud by turning my health around and committing to being here for her when she returns to Spark.
In my 199 by 12/12/13 group I committed with my friend Bev to be 199 pounds by 6/12/13! I will be back in San Francisco later this year and will walk the Golden Gate Bridge with her! Count on it girlfriend!
Today as part of my BLC -
Today I stepped outside of my comfort zone and played pickleball for the first time. It is a raquet sport and I did 40 minutes!!!! I will commit to playing pickleball whenever I can which is at least once a week after I get home.
BLC - DECIDE to just DO IT. Have a break-through this weekend. Attack anything that has been holding you back. It could be something you fear. Maybe something that makes you feel silly. Something that you think you can't do. Have you told yourself that you're too old/heavy/out of shape to do something? Maybe you've been putting something off for tomorrow, and tomorrow hasn't ever came. Tackle it, DO IT.
Set a goal of 1 obstacle to overcome. Can be done anytime Friday through Monday. One time points awarded. 100 points.
