Ok, I stepped on the scale in September 2012 and was at my all time heaviest. I felt disgusting, bloated, fatigued and worse than anything, my self esteem was at a low. I had some unmanaged stress that I was trying to deal with but was failing miserably. Work stress, caring for an elderly mother and still trying to run a household. I just kept going on auto pilot until I crashed. I stayed in bed for about a week sick and tired. Then I slowly started moving, that meant getting showered and dressed. I focused on doing one small thing each day that made a positive impact on my family's life. Cooking dinner, cleaning, laundry, you know the drill. Then I started each night with preparing for the next day. Just doing baby steps, then in the morning I got moving more each day. I can proudly say that I have met my half way mark for weight loss. I want to lose 40lbs, which is the weight I gained while working as a nurse. I am now 20 lbs lighter and have to wear a belt on my VERY baggy jeans. Can't wait to meet my goal for weight loss and continue to work on my healthy life change.
