Why Wait?

I wrote yesterday in a team discussion that I was going to get back to my ETL plan. I have been dealing with periodontal and other dental issues since the middle of December and I hope after Tuesday, that I will be released by my doctors to go back to eating what I want. I haven't done badly, but I have gained a few pounds and I would like to drop those and get over the cravings I have had from the holiday sweets and bread treats. I had picked Wednesday (after the dental appointment to begin) and decided to treat myself (wrong) with a good last meal. So last night for dinner, I had fish (tarter sauce) and baked French fries (ketchup) (meat, starch, and sodium).

I woke this morning, not only feeling swollen and stiff, but weighing more! So, why wait? I am starting now. I will get back to a stricter ETL and get as much water and moving around in as possible today. Here’s hoping I will feel better tomorrow.

B – Benefiber, fruit (banana, strawberries, blueberries), coffee
L – Salad (Romaine, spinach, cucumber, flax, beans, yellow pepper, hummus
S – cashews, orange
D – Eggplant Curry and Turnip greens
W - 40+ oz

    Funny how food treats often aren't really treats!

    I'm trying to tighten my reins on the diet too. Got too far off plan and it's hard to get back.
