Cooking With Mom Night!

Monday, January 21, 2013

One of my 2013 goals was to spend more time with the girls. Been doing much better with this so far this month. We've gone to the park, I'm taking them to the grocery store, had game night and cooking night. Tonight we made pigs in a blanket!

Here's Anna--

And Emma--

And the finished product!

Everyone has had hot dog wienies wrapped in crescent rolls. When we make ours, we use bun length smoked sausages. They are 140 calories each, but we cut them in half and the crescents are 100 calories. So each pig is 170 calories. The extra calories are totally worth it because the sausages give them a delicious flavor that the whole family loves!!

Cooking together is something that my girls enjoy doing, too. And it's a great opportunity for all the family to do something creative together. Fun!
Well done on spending more time with your girls!

I'm glad you're spending more time with the girls. They're so precious! It's nice that you're teaching them how to prepare food, too. Maybe when they get a little older they'll enjoy it enough that you can sit back and relax once in a while! emoticon
