Control, I Done Gone and LOST It

Monday, January 21, 2013

Well, I really did not have a good food day yesterday. What I had planned and what happened, didn't happen. The couple of shots of Brandy might have had something to do with it. I have to admit though, my best friend's hubby made the most delicious smoked turkey I think I have ever tasted. It was amazing. It was smoking in their bbq for 3 hours or so. It was perfect. So delicious. If I had just had eaten the turkey, I would have been fine, but there was stuffing and gravy and cranberries and etc etc and I ate it all. All of it. And with gusto. Everyone said it is fine that ate more today because of HOW good and on track I have been for months, but I still feel guilty. Well, it is back to the grindstone for me. I just did 3 hours of exercise. I walked 2.5 miles up and back to the gym and then did a full hour of Body Pump.

I am sick. I have a cold. I am so tired. I think it was from eating so much. I put my body into shock.

We ALL HAVE THOSE DAYS but you can CHOOSE to move forward and NOT stay there. So the sooner you get back on program the less damage that will be done and the good news is.....each time that will get easier to do to return to the NORMAL so the overeating is NOT the normal !! WE all slip and NO ONE is perfect..... think of it as pesistence wins and perfection kills !!

it's true- what we do MOST of the time is what carries us through the odd day when we don't do quite so well- adjust over the rest of the week to bring yourself back in line with what you have learned works so well for you. you've seen my motto "healthy choices = no regrets" I post it every day because I have learned (but need reminding every day) how bad the unhealthy choices leave me feeling- I choose not to live a life of regret. you will be back on track before you know it

I had a rough day today. I didn't need the potato chips. I don't feel we'll so maybe that is a factor. Hang in there and remember it was just a day

DEE1221 is right. Get back on track and you'll be fine. It is what you do 98% of the time that matters. Hope you feel better soon! Hugs.

It is easy to have "One Of Those Days" - I didn't do that well the last 3 days.

The important thing is to STOP, realize what you did and get back on plan as soon as you can. I'm trying to do that. Not all that long ago, I'd have a bad day, 2 then 3....& possibly not getting back on plan for months. I can not let that happen.

Hope the cold is better soon.
