No I haven't found a miracle weight loss device, but thanks to the virus PLUS the scriptural lesson I am doing for FOOD ADDICTS I lost 8 pounds last week. I am learning to feast on the Lord not food. He is our meat and our drink. When tempted to overeat or snack when I am not hungry this lesson is teaching me to feast on Him through prayer, reading of His word, fellowship and worship. What I really love about this teaching is it puts overeating in the right perspective. It isn't just a bad habit but IT IS A SIN to over eat. When we overeat we are disrespecting the temple of The Holy Spirit. Now that I am looking at food addiction for what it really is, it is changing my mind set, which is 100% necessary to lose weight permanently. We as humans seem to not look at food addictions as a sin but it is as much of a sin in the eyes of God as any other sin. If we do not have a legitimate disease that makes us overweight we got here from misusing food. We use it to make us happy, to entertain, to fill all those voids in our lives and we need to look at food as a way of nourishing our bodies so that we are able to do the Lord's work. I have just finished day 14 of 60 then when I finish that there is another lesson to follow so this will be an ongoing study to help strengthen me and help me to look at food in a totally different way!
