2 Weeks and Going Strong!

Today is the two-week mark on my journey to a healthier lifestyle. Honestly, it isn't as hard as I thought! I've taken a different approach this time, and am WAY less stressed about my new "diet".
In the past two weeks I have lost 5.1 pounds! I'm amazed. I am noticing that my clothes are fitting better and I feel much less sluggish pleased with the progress.
I met most of my goals from last week. I exercised 4 times this week, but not for super long periods of time...like I used to. I used to work out 5-6 times a week when I was "dieting" and work out hard at the gym for an hour or more. Because I was putting in 5-6+ hours of workout, I expected HUGE results. There were weeks I barely lost a pound while exercising like this and eating super healthy. I now realized I was too stressed and probably not eating enough. My body was going into starvation mode and hanging onto those few calories for dear life!
This week I have been more active in general...walking around more, taking stairs, less sitting and vegging. I have exercised about 20-30 minutes each of the 4 days I worked out. I did some of the workout videos here are SP a couple of the days, and went out for walks the other two. Nothing too difficult, but still working out.
I increased my water intake, but still need to do better. I just can't get above 6 glasses a day. I am still meeting this goal.
I also wanted to drink Diet Coke 3 or less days this week. Well, I drank it 4 days this week. Better than normal, but not my goal. I will aim for 2-3 days this week. I can do it!
I have been sticking to 1300-1400 calorie days and it seems to be working. Hopefully it stays this way. I'm not feeling overly hungry or deprived. I'm happy with how things are going this time around!
