Two weekends on track in a row? Week 2 Summary NF Challenge.

Monday, January 21, 2013

So I have managed two weekends in a row following my meal plan and sticking in calorie ranges.

I worried I'm going to feel like I'm succeeding and thats when I end up blowing it... I have NO idea why I do this, but it happens often enough for me to realise I'm doing it. So what gives? Ideas? What can I do to keep up with myself?

I got sick last Wednesday and I am still suffering, food was unappealing for a couple days, and I changed my plans, but I tracked everything, even when I didn't eat dinner except for eating two grapefruit, or eating just cocoa cottage cheese for dinner!

But my tracker is completed regardless of what went on.

Summary Week Two of NerdFitness 6 week challenge

1: Swam 1x this week = 1/3 Due to being very unwell, not impressed
2: Tracked everything I ate = Goal Achieved
3: Walked 3x this week = Goal Achieved.

2/3 goals achieved for the week!!

Weight: 178 pounds
Weight lost: 3 pounds.

Good going since I haven't been well.

I know what you mean. You start thinking about a cheat, and eventually you will make it reality. Focus on weekend # 3, and getting over being sick. Treat it just as if you did the first weekend. Succeeding is arbitrary. Succeeded at what? Getting back to goal weight? Not yet. So you have a goal to shoot for. You know what you have to do, so be good this weekend, and then it WILL be 3 weekends.

Just remember 1 bad weekend can wipe out 2 good ones. Why ruin all the hard work you did? You are strong enough to get through this. You are going to be happy you did on Monday.

Honestly, I think the main thing is tracking. It lets you see exactly where you are so that you can make informed changes where necessary. As far as blowing it, no one is going to be perfect their entire life. Don't let one bad day or meal define you - instead define yourself in terms of your hopes, goals, and plans.

I'm so impressed you're doing this well when you're feeling so grotty . emoticon I do the same thing as you and get complacent when I'm doing's like I think I deserve a break now when paradoxically I should be thinking that I deserve to carry on....none so weird as folk ay? If you find the solution let me know! Maybe we have to remind ourselves of how much furthur we still have to go rather than feeling pleased about achieving smaller goals? I don't know...that seems counterproductive too.

Hope you are feeling tip-top again soon emoticon emoticon

Good job! You are doing great, especially in light of being sick.

I'm feeling pretty ill this week, hopefully I'll do as well as you. Have you been catching the mini-quests, for NF--the stupid things are hard to find lol

Have a great evening!

    You are doing great.

You have just echoed something I was thinking - about thinking I'm doing well, then crashing. I did super great in November and December. I was patting myself on the back. Seems like since New Year's I have just crashed. And why is it so difficult to get back up? I know what I need to do? I know that once I get going, it's not as difficult as it looks sitting here in my muck and mire and self-pity. Sigh! I will do this - one way or another. I will!

Even better going that you tracked and stayed on plan with your food - Well done you!!!
I'm on a little streak myself at the mo and don't want to jinx it. Remember how good you feel for sticking with your plan... How many weeks can you streak? ;) x
