ready over!!

Monday, January 21, 2013

I am ready to start the new Year over. On the 2nd of January I started my new job. Good right? Well on the 3rd I had my routine yearly exam. Where they found a lump in my right breast. Did an immediate ultra sound and scheduled me for a diagnostic mammogram the following day. And made an appointment with a surgeon!! Yep, I was scared I admit it. But we prayed and kept it to ourselves apart from two friends who were praying with us. After the lovely hour long mammogram smashing and a biopsy...also fun...I can breath again. It is a fibroid nodule. They still want to do surgery. I told them I would get back to them on that.

So once again I am ready to get on with life. New job, new schedules ect. Then Terry's boss drops the bomb that they are putting him back on midnights. I now work afternoons because he was put on afternoons:( We have just gotten into a routine and I finally felt like I could start moving forward and bam. So now I am hoping to get on days at work but that is a long shot.

So getting in exercise has been a bit more difficult. But I do alot of physical activity at work so that helps. But I desperately need a stable routine!!!!!!!

Hoping February is better than January!!

I know loosing your energy buddy must hurt. I know because I been looking for one for a year now. But no one I know will put that kind of commitment. Lots of friends ask me because they are interested but that is not the same as commitment.

Susie, I know it is hard but you need to learn to workout alone. I know your main workouts are walking and biking, both can be very peaceful when done alone. It can help you be more mindful to what you need to do for you in your life. Think of DH as a treat when he can take the walks and bike rides with you. Maybe a friend will start walking or biking with you on occasions. Working out alone has its benefits too. I have been doing it for almost 2 1/2 years. I still want an EB to help motivate and encourage each other, to make it more interesting and so forth. However, I am here to tell you I would not stop all my "alone" workouts for anybody. I need them too. And I think you would like them as well.

I did not stopped my workouts because I never found a EB. So, my advice to you is to not stop because you temporarily lost your EB Terry.
