I was surprised when I got on the scale this morning that I had lost 2.5 lbs. How exciting. I feel like I am moving in the right direction. I've been trying to change up my workouts to make it more challenging and to try new things. I think this is helping me stay focused. This was the first week I added strength training too. I'm still trying to find new recipes to try as our menu seems to be the same stuff week after week.
The end of the week became stressful when my 91 year-old grandma was admitted to the hospital with some confusion. She was admitted to my unit so I have been able to keep a close eye on her during her stay. She will be released tomorrow to a rehab facility, but our family has come to the realization that she will not be able to live on her own anymore. This has been very stressful for me but instead of turning to food to deal with the emotions, I got some great workouts in. I'm so thankful for that.
This week I'm going to try some of the exercises I found on Pinterest. I hope I can get some good results and that they are fun to do. I'll keep you posted.
