Fitness Tracker

I haven't logged any fitness minutes into the tracker all week. I have the fitness part down. I love working out. I don't skip workouts so no need to track them. It still bothers me to see a big fat ZERO there though. I'm working to overcome that.

I do however, need to focus more on my diet which is going to be my primary focus for 2013. I recently went to a Aruyveda workshop on "what is your dosha". This is something that has interested me for a while but I finally did something about it.

My dosha is Vata for body and Pitta for mind. This makes perfect sense. There are several changes I need to make in my diet and am struggling to come up with a plan. The biggest obstacle is that my body does not respond well to raw foods. I've known this for a while but now it is confirmed. I need to figure out what to eat when we go out that isn't a salad or raw veggie sandwich. My body prefers warm comfort foods which is fine in the fall and winter but what about the summer? these are all things I need to work out.

Anyway, it's just odd to see no fitness minutes or that I've burned an insane amount of calories for the week. This is just another step in stopping the obsession and focusing on what really matters in this journey.

    OOh, that Aruyveda workshop sounds really interesting! Thanks to the wonders of FB, I reconnected with a guy from my H.S. who is an Aruyvedic chef in Park City Utah. Who would have thought the star of the football team would end up doing that?!

Looking forward to reading about your experience with this new adventure!
