First for everything

I've never really blogged about anything. I have a hard enough time keeping a journal up to date so why try to blog online where people actually can see my ramblings?
But this year I'm going to try new things. I wouldn't say it is a resolution but maybe just a determination to become a better "me".
My goals for this year are to lose at least one more pants size. Since March 2012 I have lost 15lbs and about 19 inches over my body. This is HUGE for me! I've never lost this much weight before and I know its because I made some basic changes in my life. My mom has been consistent is working out with me and I'm taking the time to learn how to cook healthier meals.
Over the holidays I feel like I failed. All the changes I has made were kinda thrown out the window as soon as the Christmas parties started. Then there was New Year's Eve and my 30th birthday last week. To put the cherry on top of the fattening sundae, I started dating a very special man so this has limited my time for workouts. All these factors resulted in only getting to the gym maybe once a week and skipping Zumba classes and, ultimately, gaining 5 of the 15 lbs I had lost. FRUSTRATING!
So now I am working on changing my habits and my perspective. I am reminding myself that I worked hard and did a great job losing the weight and the inches in the 9 months since I started working out and eating right. I CAN and WILL do this again and keep it up. I still have the same ultimate goal of losing a total of 30 lbs and I WILL get there. I WILL be a size 10 before I get married so I can look and feel my best. 2013 is going to be a great year for me!
