Jan/Feb Goals Week 1 Recap:

Last week I put up my Goals Photo. I thought I would take some time to reflect back on my week and see how I'm doing.
Goal #1: Run 3x weekly.
I ran Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; I'm gaining speed and I feel great! I can see my legs are starting to tighten up again. I love how my body responds to the run.
Goal #2: Yoga 1x weekly.
Check! ... well more than check. I did Yoga Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I have really enjoyed working that into my routine. It's a great stretch for my off days and power yoga really works up a sweat! I also have been doing relaxation yoga and I couldn't be more at peace when I finish. I realllllllly recommend it.
Goal #3: Strength Train Legs, Core, and Arms on run days. Goal not met. I did arms on Monday, and Legs on Friday but I didn't do my core on Wednesday because I ran in the morning and I didn't have time before work. I think that adding all of those planks with power yoga count though... right?
Goal #4: Make the Better Choice When Choosing Foods. Well.... For the most part I did well with this goal. I had ice cream some nights, but I still managed to stay within my calorie limits. I had a soda Saturday.. I realized how empty those calories were and I won't do that again! It's a learning curve and I'm not going to be hard on myself because I want to accomplish Goal #5: Be Proud of My Accomplishments!! And I AM!
I'm focused and excited and I hope to keep this up!
