First week

Ya, I lost five pounds. I got a tape measure this weekend so I'm starting to measure my inches too. I know I'll need that for when I don't lose as much weight at a time. Last week my main goal was to stop drinking soda and sweet tea. And I did very good. No pop or tea all week. I also wanted to exercise 15-20 minutes a day. And was able to do that. This week I'm going to work on doing 20-25 minutes a day of exercise. Also I'm really trying to work on eating more protein. According to my nutrition tracker this is something I struggle with. I'm thinking I want to start setting some personal goals too that don't necessarily have something to do with my weight. I'm going to have to think about this one some more. I'm actually looking forward to facing this week. Have a good day and week everyone.

    I found that giving up the soft drinks helps a lot; not just for calories but for the carbonation, which makes me feel all bloated now that I have it so rarely. Never noticed before, but the lack of it sure is nice!

    I noticed we both had the same titles for our blog entries today (my first). So we are at the same point. I really like the trackers and support material here at Sparkpeople. Still learning all the tools on this site.
