A Day of Rest

Yesterday I took the day off. Oh, I ate healthy enough, but as far as exercise went it was just some walking in place and stretching. I feel great today. Everyone needs time to relax and recharge.
I was reading a friend's feed and she took the day off, too. She said, however, it wasn't worth it. That got me to thinking. It can be hard to relax, especially when we have momentum going and we don't want to break it. I realized that it takes effort to relax just as it takes effort to get going. Relaxation has to be a habit just as fitness does.
For those of you who find this hard and/or are visual folks, imagine this scenario. You forgot to plug in your laptop or cell phone. Before long there is no charge. The only thing to do is put it on the charger and let it sit and recharge. And no, you do not have another battery waiting, so don't go there.
Monday is here and I am recharged. So much so I was up at 2am and wide awake. Today I am working on my corner of the world. A little sanctuary where I can unwind at the end of the day or as needed. It's part of my Feeling Fit Friends Valentine Challenge.
