Schoolwork has me stuck in a chair

any suggestions on how I can get more walking in while stuck at a computer?

    To build your core, you can sit on an exercise ball, and I have a stepper thing that I can put under my desk and use during the day. I was also told by my doctor to take ten minute breaks throughout the day to get my walking in, like quadcmom suggested. Just a few ideas. I also know someone who spends a lot of time on the phone and paces in his office while he talks on the phone! Good luck!

    Take a break now and then. You don't have to get all your exercise at one time. Take two 15 minute walks. Not only will you burn some calories, you will feel refreshed and ready to get back to work.

    My Mom teaches at an online university and spends over 50% off her day at the computer so she has the same issue. She bought one of those bikes that fit under the desk and she pedals as she works. It's not as good as the real thing, but it's better than nothing. Hope that helps.
