This weekend wasn't the greatest in terms of eating clean but I'm not stressing! I am PMSing plus had family/friend time PLUS it was my weekend off so I had lots of time and opportunity to not stick to my clean eating. Tomorrow is another day though :)
My goals for the week are pretty simple:
-Stay in calorie range OR end the day with at least a 300 calorie deficit 6/7 days
-Work out at least 4 days minimum for at least 30 minutes
-Walk for work at least 4 days (I'm a dog walker so when I walk instead of drive, I am able to tack on an extra 2-4 miles of decent cardio per day)
-Spend less than $30 on eating out. Money has been rather inconsistent lately--such is the life of an independent contractor--and I've been spending way too much money on conveniences. I live in a major city so pretty much everything is expensive. Last week I spent about $37 dollars eating out and I want to consistently bring that amount down over the next few weeks
Not eating out means cooking at home (which I love) and I am a bit weirdly excited for breakfasts this week. Normally I will either have toast, an egg beater omelet with some cheese and spinach, or oatmeal with banana/honey/cinnamon. This week, I've planned to have cold oats and they are DELICIOUS, not to mention fool proof, healthy, filling, super customizable, can be made vegan, and super cheap.
Basically all you do is put some oats (can either be quick oats or old fashioned--however, if you use old fashioned, you have to prepare everything the night before, pop in the fridge, and let the milk soak into the oats for about 7-8 hours), add your milk of choice, add your toppings of choice, and that's it! Today I made a test round and used .5 cup quick oats, about 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk, half a banana, and some honey and it was insanely good.
I might not weigh in this week, in light of my indulgences the past three days. I have two pounds to go to hit my January goal of a 7 pound loss so I may just wait until the 31st...
