WEEKEND TO MYSELF-BLESSING OR CURSE?

This weekend I had the sheer pleasure of having a weekend all to myself. One of the things I enjoy most about having a weekend all to myself is not having to cook, but with this sheer joy comes challenges as well. I indulged and went out to eat pretty much all weekend, and although I was able to stay within my caloric goals, I still felt sluggish. I DID make some healthy choices, but not as healthy as if I had cooked it myself. I had the MUNCHIES all weekend as well! Did I make the healthiest choices, like fruits and veggies? No! I did choose low calorie snack food, but it was empty calories instead of filling foods like lean proteins, fresh fruits and veggies, whole wheat carbs, etc. I loved this quote on Biggest Loser tonight, "When you fuel your body with garbage, that's how you move...sluggish, through a pile of gum...this is exactly how I have felt this weekend. Was I a total success? No...but I wasn't a total failure either...still learning, still growing, still taking baby steps towards my goal! New week, new me.
