If it was easy, we'd all be thin......wouldn't we.....:)

Well, eating went off track this week several times. My job was being audited, and anytime you have a government inspector with a clipboard walking around it makes all of us screamingly nervous. Two of my coworkers (Weight Watchers members) were eating chocolate at the desk; one of them said wonderingly,"I went downstairs to get a side salad and I have no idea how I ended up with this taco salad with cheese..." I know exactly how that happens; your brain is under stress and craving endorphins and eating gives you that pleasant calming buzz....I know this because under the same stress I had HALF A PIZZA with a glass of wine for dinner and that was NOT part of the plan....
But that was then. We passed inspection and things should be back to normal tomorrow; meanwhile I did some soul-searching and thought about how to hopefully avoid stress-binging in the future. This week I want to make 2 changes;
1. Drink 64 ounces of water a day. When I drink that much water, I feel calmer and clearer and less hungry. It really helps.
2. Do some yoga in the evenings after work. I have a yoga DVD. Hoping that will help me to sleep better and cope with stress so I don't just EAT when things get stressful
