I finished just 2 minutes off my goal I set. I was hoping for 5-5:30 hours and I finished at 5:32. Other then a short period of leg cramps I was able to average a pace of 12:42 pace average. I did the first 13.1 10 minutes faster then last years 1/2 Marathon.
This is my College Roommate who came in from Ohio to do the PF Chang with me.

My Daughter Finished as well

God is so good. So from now on it's 1/2 marathons, 10k's, and 5K's. I'm in it for my health not for running races.

Wow this is fantastic -- congratulations to you! I'm contemplating signing up for my first 5k (to run). My mom and I have walked 1/2 marathons and 10ks before, but I've been learning to run and I'm thinking a 5k might be a good goal for me to work towards. Your story is inspiring.

Great job!! I'm next. I made the commitment on Monday to train with Team World Vision, raise money to provide clean water in Africa and do a marathon in October. I always wanted my first marathon to be the Marine Corps in Washington DC. I was unable to complete that task last fall. So, I'll either try again this year, or my first will be Chicago as I run with the team. Either way, I will do it!!
