Day 7... Pizza CAN Be Healthy?!

Sunday, January 20, 2013

So the pizza wasn't too many calories... I ate 6 slices though and feel really full! It was only 320 calories for 2 slices. That is with all the cheese. I probably should have done less cheese though. I did 1/4th cup on each slice.

Anyway, I noticed I haven't tracked my water. You may have noticed too. I think I should start. Well...baby steps. And by the way...keep sparking!

emoticon i love pizza! At walmart you can buy whole grain pizza crust already made in the pasta aisle! its really good. I put homemade speggehtii sauce that my family cannes ourselves but i hve bought the prego smart light traditional sauce and thats pretty good! I spread a fair amount on the crust and add chopped tomatoes, red green yellow peppers mushrooms onions pre stemed brocollii and chopped hard boiled eggs.. I dont even add cheese and the I can have more if I want too! lol but you can add a small layer of cheese on it like 1 cup of cheese for the whole pizza! it tastes great also yu can add groun turkey meat or shredded chicken if you want! I know the hrd boilded egg sounds bad on it but it is so good! but use like 3 or three eggs for the who pizza and only use 1 egg yolk for the zza because that has alot of fat in it... but some wont hurt! emoticon emoticon

Good job. It's fun to find forbidden foods that taste good. I am still leery of most squash - though I see recipes all over the place for it. I am also one week in (of serious Sparking) and my food discovery is pomegranate and Noosa yogurt - not together, though :).

    Stay strong! emoticon

Great job getting out there and taking a walk...even in colder weather. I like those sandwich thins also and they do make a pretty good pizza crust. If you want to reduce the cheese, maybe add some fresh veggies or extra seasoning and you won't even miss it! Keep Sparking... emoticon

Of course pizza can be healthy and delicious as well. I enjoy making my own as well so I can regulate the amount of cheese -- and load up on some veggies. Good thought about the water. I'm giving blood tomorrow so I am pushing it heavily -- makes my veins easier to find and less likely to collapse in the process.
