COME ON BABY LIGHT MY FIRE

Sunday, January 20, 2013

For some reason I have not been able to get my flame fired up lately. I thought maybe I had lost my matches, but then I realized it only takes one spark to get the flame burning.

So what do you do when you don't feel like doing anything? You do it anyway. One foot in front of the next. One step after another.

Everyday is not going to be filled with fire. Somedays will be good enough just to have a little Spark.

I so needed this. My flame has been low! I've preached "just do it." I've experienced "just do it." But struggling with even that right now.

emoticon shall i pour gasoline under the tukus??? emoticon

this is not to let you off the hook, but... sometimes we bank our fires to keep the embers alive ~ we do that when we refuse2quit, we rest, we nourish, we self-care/tlc & pamper, take steps that help us ~ kind of like gently blowing on the embers as we add tinder to the fire, then kindling and soon, we are burning brightly, dancing, laughing & singing.... the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!!!

You are so right ~ you just have to keep doing one right thing after the other. Really difficult some days. What keeps me going on those days is simply to 'consider the alternative' and that usually makes me stop whining to myself and get my arse moving. :)

I did look up how you celebrate your 60th birthday ~ how awesome. I gotta admit to being just a bit jealous - ok, a LOT jealous. lol I certainly won't be going to Hawaii for mine. *sigh I simply have to keep my blessings in mind on that day ~ and I have SO many. God has been very good to me. If I just stay in 'the moment' like I'm supposed to, I will be fine. I am sure 'something' good will happen over the weekend. But, no expectations ~ having unfulfilled expectations just about did me in at Christmas time. Your idea of 'giving back' is a very good one. Its hard to be sad when you are doing something for someone else.

Keep that little spark going and it will soon become a fire, again. emoticon emoticon
