Next Wednesday, when I reflect on the last week, I am going to make sure that I consider MORE than just the numbers on the scale. Although I really want to get my BMI down from 38.9, I realize that I need to consider MORE each week. I can’t have such a narrow view. So I am going to make sure that I consider three other things this week:
1. Energy level – How am I feeling? Do I have more energy than I did last Wednesday?
2. Healthy Habits – When I look at my food tracker, have I eaten within my calorie range? Have I selected healthy foods? Did I get my water? How does the breakdown of carbs, protein, fats compare with the goal?
AND finally - I need to avoid the scale during the week, I am always disappointed if I weigh more on weigh in day then I did at other points during the week. Isn't that silly??????? I KNOW that weight goes up and down a bit due to lots of factors..I need to act on that knowledge and simply accept what the scale shows each week - it's not the only indication of progress! I am in this for the long haul and while I need to reflect each week and adjust my course, I also need to make sure that I am considering multiple measures!
