Progress!

Here it is, January 20th and I've been doing great with all of my goals. Amazing! I've been working out - hard - five days a week and watching what I eat. The first two weeks I tracked EVERY morsel. I ate 1500 calories/day and, in the end, I lost a fraction of a pound each week. This past week I had a lot of work events - which include food and/or eating out. I did manage to keep with my workouts and all my goals - not overeat at night, drink lots of water, 30+ minutes of cardio, work on eating more nutritiously, and don't eat those chips (ok, one night I ate chips. But that's one night out of more than 20 nights.)

So I feel like I'm doing well. I wish I'd see more progress on the scale. I'm trying hard not to focus on the scale, but it's hard. I truly feel like I'm doing everything right, yet the scale just doesn't want to budge. Maybe I need to take it below 1500 calories - that will be difficult. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and maybe one day I'll weigh less.

    Congrats on your progress this week. I agree with you on the scale and it's inherent meanness. I have to same problem lately. I added more fitness to see if that would help and I'm going to give it 4-6 weeks before I start worrying about results. I use some different techniques to get those NSV. one is my measurements, not just arms and hips but also the step test and push up and crunches etc.
